Welcome to Glen Cove Elementary

Glen Cove Elementary School serves a culturally and linguistically diverse community of students from transitional kindergarten (TK) through grade five. Our campus also accommodates State Child Development and Preschool programs. Moreover, we offer a chorus program, a visual and performing arts studio, and a STEAM lab. Our dedicated support staff ensures a nurturing environment where students actively participate in enriching daily activities. We utilize diverse resources to continuously develop as educators, aiming to enhance every student's academic achievement.

Essential Personal Standards

At Glen Cove Elementary, we follow three essential personal standards in everything we do: making good decisions, solving problems, and showing respect. Through explicit teaching, reinforcement, and review of these expectations, we empower our students to take responsibility for their learning and behavior. This approach ensures that they consistently succeed, both academically and socially, in and out of the classroom.

Project G.L.A.D.

Our educators are trained in Project GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design), a student-centered approach featuring over 40 strategies. This model helps all learners develop academic language, improve literacy, and master content while promoting active engagement, inquiry skills, and social development.
